Did You See Us At The SI Masters Games!!

The Property Shoppe sponsored a team for the South Island Masters, here in Nelson October 15-22, 2011.  There were 9 of us originally, but with injuries that happened - we eventually had a total of 14 people play for us!

There were 9 games in all, 3 on the first day, then 4 on the second, and 2 on the last.  On day one we lost FOUR player to serious injuries - And seriously contemplated changing our team name from Pacemakers to "Plastered!" - in honour of team member Carolyn who was just that - in plaster with a torn Archillies! 

Day 2 saw us playing our Team Umpire Lisa, who was umpiring AND playing - I think she has a total of 7 games that day!!

By the end of day 3, there were just 3 originals without an injury - but we were still all having a whale of a time!  We hadn't won any, but had earned 2 points on the table with close games. Congrats went out to The Sharons, who were the 35+ social winners, and good sports to boot.

Currently we have a team playing in the Nelson Netball Twilight series (Wednesdays) - no age restrictions, so if you would like to have a game with us, please call!  We practice Sunday evenings.  Our aim will be to field a masters team next winter on Thursday nights - again let me know if this interests you.
